Sustainability is important to us.
Sustainability is a core priority for us. We believe that the transition to a climate-conscious society can only succeed through close collaboration with businesses.
In recent years, we have begun to adjust several internal processes. For the first time, we have now summarised our current and planned measures in a sustainability concept that will continue to evolve over time.
Sustainability in the office
Desk sharing & remote work
In January 2022, Inveos GmbH moved into its new location. The company-owned building offers 15 workstations and a conference room, all of which can be booked by employees via a digital room booking system. We work with a combination of desk sharing and remote work, allowing us to use the physical workspace far more efficiently.
Green mobility
We aim to promote sustainable mobility among our employees. To support this, we provide financial contributions to HVV public transport tickets and offer a company bike scheme. Our company vehicles have already been transitioned to electric or hybrid models. This is reinforced by the overall reduction in commuting, as a large share of working days now takes place from home.
Reduced consumption
The new office concept also significantly reduces the use of certain consumables or replaces them with sustainable alternatives. The digitalisation of documents and mail has reduced our paper consumption to almost zero; only legally required items are still sent or stored in paper form. We have also eliminated plastic bottles in the office. In addition, we aim to engage with our suppliers on sustainability topics and take these considerations into account when selecting new partners.
Intelligent lighting & heating concept
The reduced office space opens up new opportunities to save energy. Our newly installed motion-controlled lighting system contributes to this. We are also able to manage heating more efficiently. To this end, we are planning a new heating concept that includes replacing the old gas heating system and implementing a heating control system that adjusts to the actual occupancy of the rooms.
Working together with our customers & partners
Integrating sustainability into our products is becoming increasingly important — not only for us, but especially for our customers, whose requirements in this area continue to grow. Together, we aim to achieve these goals quickly, efficiently, and measurably, with solutions that combine ecological and economic responsibility.
The coronavirus pandemic demonstrated that customer meetings and communication between companies can be conducted entirely digitally. In agreement with our customers and partners, we therefore limit business travel to what is absolutely necessary.
Initiatives
We support the local sustainability initiative “My Tree My City”. Instead of printing large quantities of paper calendars each year and sending them to our customers, we participate in this Hamburg initiative. Our donation helped plant a new tree in our neighbourhood. We also send our Christmas greetings exclusively in digital form.
We remain committed to advancing sustainability
We know there is still much to do, and we are continuously developing our sustainability strategy. We are also pleased to have a newly certified sustainability manager in our team.
